New Dental Patient Information - Mississauga, ON

Get Ready for Your Appointment

We’re looking forward to meeting you and your loved ones! Our team at Family Dental Care always loves seeing new faces and giving people new reasons to smile. The information on this page will help make your first visit a success. Is there something you’d like to know or are unclear about regarding our Mississauga dental office? Give us a call any time so that we can give you a helping can.

Your First Visit

You’ll be given a friendly introduction at our front desk, and we’ll help you complete any remaining paperwork. You’ll be taken back to our treatment room so that one of our team members can explain exactly what will happen during the appointment. We’ll take X-rays and other images of your mouth, and one of our dentists will perform a thorough exam before discussing the state of your oral health and any follow-up treatments you might need.

New Patient Forms

All new dental patients are required to fill out a number of forms for their first visit. In addition to getting us up to date with your personal information, these forms also give us a way to review your oral and overall health history up to the present. Once your examination begins, we’ll know exactly what kind of problems we need to watch out for, and we will have a better context for scheduling any necessary follow-up appointments.

Dental Insurance Welcome

Dental insurance can make the prospect of paying for regular appointments and restorative care less intimidating. If you call our office and let us know what plan you belong to, we can confirm whether or not we accept it, and we can answer any questions you might have about the coverage you can expect to receive. When you undergo treatment that’s covered under your plan, we will fille all of the necessary claims on your behalf.

Financing Available

Even with dental insurance, you could occasionally have out of pocket dental costs that would be overwhelming to pay all at once. Dentalcard financing can make things easier on you and your bank account, letting you pay over several months instead of up front. You can apply for Dentalcard using the link below; check out the various low-to-no-interest plans that they have available and see if you can find one that’s suited to your family’s budget.
